Slamp Tulip 14 LED hanging light prism/brass

Designer pendant lamp Tulip in long form with 14 "floating" tulips The floral pendant lamp Tulip comes from the pen of industrial designer Marc Sadler. He is a pioneer in the field of experimental design and his innovative-experimental approach characterizes his work to this day. This is particularly evident in the design of the pendant lamp Tulip.... moreThe lamp consists of 14 tulips hanging from the elongated canopy. The flowers of the tulips were molded from Lentiflex®, a plastic developed and patented by the Italian lighting company Slamp itself. The prism-like surface of this technopolymer causes the creation of iridescent nuances and the development of a very special lighting effect. The flowers are handmade, so each one is unique. The stems of the tulips are made of brushed brass. The almost invisible steel cable creates the impression that the tulips are floating freely. The designer Marc Sadler looks back on a long career as a product designer. His works are characterized by novel materials and technologies. Sadler prefers to use plastics for his designs and with his dissertation on plastics he was one of the pioneers of experimentation. In the Italian design company Slamp, which was founded in 1992 by Roberto Ziliani and produces high-quality lamps, the pendant lamp Tulip was created, a work of art of a lamp. In addition to natural materials, Slamp mainly uses the technopolymers Cristalflex®, Opalflex® and Lentiflex®, which were developed and patented in-house. These plastics are light, yet very resistant, they are antistatically treated and therefore dust-repellent. In addition, the noble and break-resistant plastics can be used to create shapes and lighting effects that would be impossible with other materials.
