Energy Bars are high-quality oat energy bars with a premium composition that provides the energy needed to improve performance in your training and competitions. We've also added protein isolate to enhance it. They have a unique, juicy texture that's easy to swallow and minimizes gastrointestinal issues. They contain an ideal oat-based matrix (approximately 40%), providing slow-release carbohydrates (energy). They also contain fast-absorbing carbohydrates. This combination is ideal for providing a gradual energy release, which is crucial for athletes, as carbohydrate intake during exercise has been shown to improve performance (Cermak, NM et al., SM. 2013; Pochmuller, M. et al., JISSN. 2016). Furthermore, something that few people know and/or many forget is that consuming exogenous carbohydrates during physical activity minimizes the immunosuppressive effects of intense exercise (Nieman, DC et al., EIR. 1998). To further enhance the product, we have added rapidly assimilated whey protein isolate, which provides all the amino acids needed for muscle growth, including the essential ones. This is particularly beneficial for athletic performance because it has been shown that protein (amino acids) intake along with carbohydrates during training reduces markers of muscle damage (Valentine, RJ et al., IJSNEM. 2008). Amino acids can also be oxidized by muscles during exercise, thus decreasing the use of glycogen as an energy source in favor of fats. Our Energy Bars have no coating, making them easier to carry and preventing them from melting or spoiling in the heat. Because they are uncoated, they have less fat than other oat bars of this type, which also makes them more digestible.
