In the simplest implementations, the counter is mechanical - it keeps track of each turn of the handle, but the overwhelming majority of jump ropes are equipped with electronic systems for recording the number of jumps. The presence of a counter allows you to objectively evaluate the repetitions performed, helps to stick to your goals and accurately control the load. In some models, the revolution counter can additionally display calories burned, contain a timer and workout memory.
