Jigsaw blades for wood

— jigsaws, including electric ones, originally appeared as woodworking tools; accordingly, this type of files is still the most popular and extensive in assortment. However, all saw blades for wood have rather large teeth with a large pitch, having a uniform shape — one side is strongly beveled, the second is almost perpendicular to the blade. This shape allows you to effectively cut wood both across and along the grain, which is especially important when working with plywood and for curved cuts. In some models, the so-called progressive tooth pitch is provided — the distance between them increases from the shank to the end of the file. This provides additional efficiency at work. Also note that files for soft plastics have a similar tooth design; therefore, models in this category may also have the option of working with plastic. But for metal, files of this type cannot be used, even with a noticeable external similarity: for such work, high hardness of the teeth is required, which is not initially needed for wood files (and therefore is not provided for).
