The consistency of canned cat food can be individual pieces in sauce or gravy, a homogeneous soft mass, etc. Actually, the variety of textures and tastes is one of the advantages of canned food over dry food. The second advantage is that such food is more balanced in terms of fat and moisture content. At the same time, open canned food cannot be stored for a long time: in the refrigerator, such can will last for several days at most, and it is advisable to remove the half-eaten food from the bowl after a few hours. Also, wet food contains fewer caloriesc, and it takes more per serving than similar dry food.

Comparing dry food and canned food, one cannot unequivocally say which is better and which is worse — both varieties have their pros and cons, as well as their adherents. We only note that when choosing the type of food, it's ok to take into account the preferences of the pet itself: for example, if the cat normally ate canned food living with previous owners, you should not forcefully transfer it to dry food.
