The Super Audio CD (SACD) standard uses a higher sampling rate, provides a longer sound duration (up to 3 hours), and is also capable of working with both stereo and 5.1 multi-channel audio. However, regular SACD tracks cannot be read on normal CD drives, and "hybrid" discs compatible with such drives will play as an Audio CD. Therefore, to work with this standard, it is worth using players in which this possibility is directly stated.
