A Barlow lens is the astronomy accessory that keeps on giving! Insert it between your eyepiece and your telescope to get double the magnification instantly. Let's say you have two eyepieces in your accessory case, a 10mm and a 25mm. Add a Celestron Omni 2X Barlow Lens to the mix, and now you have four magnifications to choose from. Combining this lens with the 25mm provides double the magnification, or the equivalent of a 12.5mm eyepiece, while the 10mm gives you the power of a 5mm eyepiece. Eye relief is the distance your eye has to be from the first lens in the eyepiece in order to see the full field of view. The high-quality Plössl eyepiece with a focal length of 25 mm consists of 4 lenses in two groups and allows very good pictures. The high-quality optics allow a high contrast and high image sharpness.
Only high-quality glass types were used in the Plössl eyepiece. The eyepiece housing is made of high quality metal and has a 1.25 inch thread for use with colour and fog filters.
A large eye relief allows comfortable observation and the flip-over eyecups are also suitable for people who wear glasses.

This 1.25 accessory can be used three ways: as a 2X Barlow for visual use, as a prime focus T-adapter, or as a Barlowed T-adapter for double the magnification and the benefit of extra inward focus travel. The Universal Barlow & T-Adapter can be used as a 2X Barlow right out of the box. Insert any 1.25 eyepiece into the chamber and you'll enjoy double the magnification, while retaining all the eye relief of the inserted eyepiece.
