Padlock

— locks that, when used, are threaded into special loops on a chain or (less often) a cable (depending on the type of bike lock). Usually, they are key locks, code varieties are extremely rare. The main advantage of this option is the ability to remove the lock — for example, for ease of transportation, or to install more reliable constipation without changing the cable/chain itself.
