— ceiling-mounted models are in many ways similar to wall-mounted ones (see the relevant paragraph), while they have one interesting advantage: they can be placed almost anywhere in the room, not limited to walls. However, there are several shortcomings. So, installation on the ceiling is only suitable for horizontal bars; it does not make sense to use it on parallel bars. This option is practically inapplicable in the presence of suspended ceilings, as well as in high rooms (using a horizontal bar at high altitude would not only be difficult but also dangerous). In addition, the design of the device is usually not adjustable in height, and the location of the crossbar directly depends on the height of the ceiling. As a result, ceiling models have not gained much popularity.
