The degree of hydrolysis is different – each subsequent step means a higher hydrolysis of the protein. Products with completely split protein fractions are intended for therapeutic nutrition (when there is already an allergy), and partially hydrolyzed formulas are prescribed for babies in order to prevent allergies.
