Drain valves

— mechanisms designed directly for draining water from a toilet tank. The main parts of such a mechanism are the valve itself and the control system; each of them has its own characteristics.

First of all, it should be said that the drain control valve can be single-mode and dual-mode. In the first case, with each descent of water, the entire tank is emptied, in the second, an additional economical mode is provided, which allows draining only part of the water. Dual-mode valves are more expensive, but if there are water metres, they quickly pay for themselves by reducing water consumption. This is especially noticeable where the toilet is used frequently — for example, in a large family or in a public place.

As for control systems, they can be divided primarily into classical and remote ones. The classic is a control installed directly on the tank. It can be carried out in different ways: with a lever, a button, and when installing the tank at a high height — with a chain (rope). The remote control, in turn, is used when the cistern is built into the wall — the flush key (see the relevant paragraph), placed on the outside of the wall, is responsible for it.
