Reclining back

— the presence of a folding back in the design of the swing (usually these are the classic swings, see "Type").

In this case, it means the ability to recline the back to a horizontal position. Thus, the swing can be turned from a sofa for sitting into a bed for two lying places. In extreme cases, such a bed can even be used as a full-fledged bed, although its main purpose is still a short day's rest.
