PLA

— a key feature of PLA plastic is its "eco-friendliness": it is made from natural plant-based raw materials, is biodegradable, and is considered safer for the environment than ABS. Other advantages of this material include a lower melting temperature, the absence of an unpleasant odor (when heated, it emits a faint caramel aroma), and the ability for PLA to be semi-transparent and even luminescent (see FPLA). However, finished products made from it are more brittle and less durable compared to those made from ABS.
