Rosewood

— a distinctive feature of many rosewood doors is a characteristic wood pattern with a high density of fibers that differ in colour from the main wood. Such a pattern is not found in almost any other type of wood. Less common are other varieties of "rosewood", almost monophonic. The colour of such surfaces can vary from light yellow-brown to almost black, reddish and orange shades are quite common.
