Swing

— by design, it resembles a smaller version of a regular children's swing: the seat unit swings relative to a fixed base. This provides a greater amplitude of oscillation than the other types; in addition, such swings are often equipped with auto-rocking mechanisms. The advantage of the swing is the immobility of the base. The disadvantage is the considerable dimensions compared to other types.
