Seat clamps
— the seatpost clamp acts as a retainer for the seatpost (see related paragraph): it clamps the post, preventing it from falling deep into the frame and holding the saddle at the desired height. To adjust the saddle in height, the clamp must be loosened, and after setting the desired position, re-tighten. This may require special tools, although many clamps have adjustment without tools — using a knob with an eccentric.Show
