Joysticks for flight simulators with triggers

Triggers

— buttons under the index finger, located on the joystick handle or on the controller body. In flight simulators, they are most often assigned to quick actions where instantaneous response is crucial: shooting, weapons release, braking, target acquisition, or activation of the selected system.

Unlike regular panel buttons, the trigger is convenient because it can be pressed without removing your hand from the main controls. For example, on a combat joystick, the first trigger might control the gun, while the second one could be responsible for a missile or confirming target acquisition.
