It can be either the simplest segment screen capable of displaying 2-3 characters or a matrix of pixels, which can display not only inscriptions but also graphic information — pictures, diagrams, progress indicators, etc. Anyway, this function makes working with the machine more convenient and visual: even the simplest screen provides a lot of additional information. And large displays can even be made touch-sensitive and used to control the device.
