Storage electric water heaters
— boilers — that is, storage-type heaters — powered by electricity.All storage-type heaters have a tank in which heated water is collected and its temperature is maintained. As hot water is consumed, cold water is added to the tank, heating up to the desired temperature. Thus, the boiler allows you to constantly have a certain supply of hot water on hand, and you can supply several points of water intake from such a unit at once. The disadvantages of storage heaters are rather large dimensions and heavy weight, a limited supply of water and a long heating time after the tank is empty.
As for electric heating, this is the easiest option to install and connect. This is especially true for boilers — they are less high consumption in terms of energy consumption than flow heaters, do not create a special load on the mains and most often can work from a regular outlet; only the most powerful models require a direct connection to the switchboard. If we talk about alternatives, it is generally not advisable to use gas heating in storage heaters, and indirect and combined models are more difficult to connect and are designed for places where it is possible to supply a coolant from a boiler or other source of heating (for more details, see the relevant paragraphs). Therefore, it is electric boilers that are most popular nowadays.
