— a crossover is a frequency filter that allows you to separate the bass from the main frequencies and send them to the subwoofer so that the subwoofer and the main acoustics work only with the frequency bands that are optimal for them. In adjustable crossovers, you can change the upper limit of the frequencies supplied to the subwoofer — this makes it possible to properly adjust it to different speakers.
