Many hoses, especially large manufacturers, are produced for specific vacuum cleaner models (or model lines). If there are no such clarifications in the characteristics, it is worth considering such points when choosing. Firstly, different hose lengths are desirable for different situations: for normal home cleaning, 1.5 – 2 m is enough, but for special tasks you may need a longer, and possibly vice versa, a shorter hose (detailed recommendations on this subject can be found in specific sources). Secondly, before buying, it's ok to clarify the type and size of the fasteners used in the hose, and their correspondence to the seat on the vacuum cleaner. Thirdly, for washing vacuum cleaners, you need to purchase hoses specially designed for this application. Fourthly, hoses with built-in switches should be bought only if the vacuum cleaner is compatible with such an accessory — otherwise you will simply overpay for useless additional functionality.
