Scales with determination of physical age
Physical age
— determination of the physical (metabolic) age of the user's body.Young and healthy organisms typically exhibit a fast metabolism, but as we grow older, our metabolic rate tends to decrease. Scales can use this and other indicators to estimate the body's overall condition and determine an age that may differ significantly from one's actual age on the calendar. For instance, a 30-year-old person's body condition could correspond to that of a 40-year-old or a 20-year-old.
For an adult (from 25 years old) who does not have serious health problems, in this case the rule “the less the better” applies. The lower the physical age — the closer the body to the state of a young body, the better the physical form and the more energy. Conversely, too high a score is usually a sign of serious violations.
Modern diagnostic scales determine the metabolic age based on a whole set of indicators, including very specific (such as the amount of visceral fat — see the relevant paragraph). This is more reliable than independently determining the age using various tables and calculators.
