LED display

— LED type display located on the control panel of the machine.

In this case, LED means the simplest screens that can display only numbers and a limited set of characters (unlike more advanced TFTs — see the relevant paragraph). On the other hand, such screens are inexpensive and can be installed even in low-cost models, and their capabilities are quite enough to display most of the unit’s operating parameters: the selected programme, the remaining operating time, information about additional modes, error messages, etc. Therefore, most modern dryers (including premium ones) are equipped with LED displays.
