Despite the reduced case, the hardware of the console is fully consistent with the original PS5, and the reduction in size was made possible by upgrading the cooling system. The brain of the device is a custom 8-core AMD Zen 2 processor with a clock speed of 3.5 GHz, providing performance at the level of the desktop Ryzen 7 3700X chip. The custom graphics accelerator manufactured by AMD is based on the RDNA 2 architecture and performance at the level of the Radeon RX 6700 XT, but outperforms the latter due to the use of unified memory. Sony PlayStation 5 Slim supports both standard 4K resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It is also possible to output to displays with a resolution of 8K. Support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) technology minimizes image tearing, providing a more enjoyable gaming experience. The device comes with a new generation DualSense gamepad with proprietary adaptive triggers that can change the force of pressing depending on the settings of the current gaming session. Sony has also significantly redesigned the gamepad's haptic feedback system. The device's communication capabilities include a built-in LAN port for direct connection to the network, a wireless module with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth support, and three USB ports. Unlike the Digital version, the PS5 Slim is equipped with a removable disc drive that allows you to purchase games in both digital and physical formats.

The fifth-generation PlayStation gaming console is notable for its futuristic appearance and powerful electronic "innards" comparable to today's top gaming PCs. The model also supports HDR, which enhances color quality, makes images more realistic, and enhances the impression of full immersion in the action. The Japanese manufacturer equipped the device with modern wireless modules Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth. The accessory lineup for the fifth-generation model is painted in the same signature black and white tones as the console itself. The Slim index in the title describes one of the key differences from the original Playstation 4 — a thinner and more compact body. But there is no fundamental difference between this model and its predecessor. The design provides a 500 GB drive, there are 2 USB 3.0 ports. Sony PlayStation 4 supports all major optical disc formats up to Blu-ray. Also worth noting is the integration with the Vita portable console, including the ability to use as a controller.

True to its name, this model is a further development and improvement of the advanced desktop console PlayStation 4, modified to meet the top class for the fall of 2016. One of the most striking practical differences from its predecessor was support for 4K video; this became possible primarily due to a new video accelerator with an almost 2.5-fold increase in performance. Processor — also improved, although of the same family — AMD Jaguar; this allowed to keep the amount of RAM at 8 GB.

A variation on the PlayStation 3 from autumn 2012, modified to reduce size and weight: it is almost a quarter thinner and lighter than the "regular" slim version. Like its predecessor, Super Slim is built on an 8-core 3.2 GHz processor and has 256 MB of RAM, but the hard drive is available in 2 versions — 12 and 500 GB. Of the supported media — optical discs up to Blu-ray. The console has 2 USB ports and a traditional set of communications — LAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. Dualshock 3 controller included.

Quite an interesting variation on the theme of the original PlayStation 3. On the one hand, the new console has lost a memory card slot and half of the USB ports (Slim has 2 of them). On the other hand, the volume of the built-in storage has increased to 120 GB (in the minimum configuration), and power consumption has decreased by 30% with the same hardware basis: 8-core processor with 3.2 GB, 256 MB of RAM and a Blu-ray drive. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, integration with the PlayStation Network and even the installation of additional software from the PlayStation Store.

Although this console is not the most advanced on the market today, it still has a very impressive set of features, both basic and advanced. Technically, it is a direct successor to the original PSP and outwardly differs from it in reduced size and a new screen, and inside — doubled (up to 64 MB) RAM. Like the original, it works with MS Duo cards and UMDs and can be used not only for games, but also as a player and for accessing

From a technical point of view, this console is outdated: the processor frequency is only 294 MHz, the RAM is 32 MB, and the overall set of features is not comparable to the successor to the PlayStation 3. On the other hand, version 2 has long been one of the standards, and it is written for it a huge number of games. The set-top box can be used as a media centre for watching movies from DVD with 5.1 sound; in addition to optical discs, memory cards are also supported. The package includes a DualShock2 joystick.
