The subwoofer can be external; however, installing it inside the projector body makes the whole structure less bulky and easier to set up. So, the listener does not have to choose the optimal place for the “subwoofer”, besides, it is initially configured for the location in the projector case. On the other hand, built-in subwoofers are usually smaller than external ones; accordingly, the power of such a speaker is relatively low, and the characteristics are relatively modest. Therefore, choosing such a projector makes sense when compact dimensions are more important than advanced bass performance.
