Mowers
Mower
— specialized machines with increased power, designed for processing dense thick plants. Usually, they are equipped with petrol engines and are made self-propelled (see "Lawn mower design"). The wheels of mowers have a large diameter and tyres with a deep tread, which allows to effectively overcome pits, ditches, mud, sand, puddles, etc. And the cutting part of such units has a scissor design: two toothed plates moving back and forth relative to each other and cutting stems that fall between the teeth. Such systems are not characterized by accuracy, but they are very performant and do an excellent job even with thick stems — including shrubs. It hardly makes sense to buy a mower for a backyard or a lawn that is kept clean. But for vast overgrown meadows, such devices are indispensable — both for putting the site in order, and for actually making hay.
