— this nozzle is a rotating head, on which pieces of thick fishing line are fixed — due to the rapid rotation, they work like knives. Such a device is extremely rare in lawn mowers, but is popular in trimmers and combisystems; in fact, most of these units are initially equipped with a coil. There are several reasons for this popularity. Firstly, the fishing line is much cheaper than a bladed knife. Secondly, such a nozzle is easier to maintain — a worn out fishing line can be easily replaced with a new one. Thirdly, the fishing line endures collisions with solid objects with virtually no consequences. Its main disadvantage is a somewhat lower efficiency than that of knives, but this moment is noticeable only on the thickest stems, which are difficult for knives.
