Electric lawn mowers
Mains powered
— lawn mowers equipped with electric motors powered by 230 V, in other words, a standard household socket.Electric motors (with any type of power supply) have a number of advantages over petrol ones. They are simple, inexpensive, relatively light and compact, require little to no maintenance, have a lower noise level, do not produce exhaust gases, and are also cheaper both in themselves and in operating costs (electricity costs significantly less than petrol). As for the connection to the mains, this type of power supply allows you to reach a fairly high power and work almost unlimited time (as long as there is voltage in the socket). On the other hand, the freedom of movement of such models is limited by the length of the power cord; it can be supplemented with an extension cord, but it cannot be extended indefinitely. In addition, if there are no sockets nearby, the device becomes useless.
In light of all this, the mains-powered device will be convenient primarily for processing relatively small areas near the socket — for example, for mowing the lawn in the yard of a private house.
