Four-stroke lawn mowers
4-stroke internal combustion engine
— the presence of a four-stroke petrol engine in the design of the trimmer. In general, such engines are considered more advanced and advanced than another popular type — two-stroke: in particular, with the same power, four-stroke units consume less fuel and are not as noisy. In addition, gasoline and oil are refueled separately in such an engine, while for a two-stroke scheme, these components must be mixed (in this case, it is likely to “overdo it” with oil, which causes the engine to smoke). The disadvantages of such units, in addition to the rather high cost, are relatively large dimensions and weight. At the same time, trimmers rarely need heavy engines with high power, and in this case, these disadvantages are usually not significant; in addition, many models use special solutions to reduce the weight and size of the engine. Thus, some high-end trimmers are equipped with four-stroke motors; it is worth paying attention to such units in cases where the described advantages are more important to you than affordability.
