— self-propelled aerators are able to move forward independently during operation, which significantly “makes life easier” for the operator and makes the process less tiring (the latter is especially true for heavy high-power units). The disadvantages of the self-propelled design are the complexity, high cost and lower engine power supplied to the working tool (part of the power is spent on moving forward).
