— in the vast majority of cases, contactless analyzers are designed according to the dielectric constant principle, i.e. they measure the permittivity of materials. Less common are models that operate based on the microwave analysis method - such moisture meters determine the level of absorption of microwave energy depending on the saturation of the material or substance with water. When measuring using the contactless method, it is enough to apply the device to the workpiece, while the sample remains undamaged. Contactless moisture meters are highly sensitive and provide accurate results with minimal error (about 1 - 2% depending on the specific model).
