Diffusion filters for flashlights

— additional light filters for hand lamps, in one way or another changing the characteristics of light. There are two types of these devices. The first is traditional light filters in the form of “glasses” installed in front of the lantern’s own glass. Such filters, in turn, are divided into two main categories: diffuse and colour. The former have a neutral white colour and frosted glass; they turn directional light into diffused light — not as "long-range", but softer and covering more space. Colour filters are usually made in red, blue or green. Each of them has its own specialization: red is perfect in situations where it is impossible to knock down established night vision or maximum stealth is needed, green is not visible to many animals and is convenient for hunting, and blue does not blind night vision devices.

The second type of diffusion filters are elongated caps made of translucent plastic. When putting on such a cap, the flashlight turns into a signal baton; the most common colours of such wands are white and red.
