Radar detectors with Spectre protection
Spectre protection
— protection against police direction finders like Specter. Such direction finders are used in countries where the use of radar detectors is not permitted; they determine the presence of a detector in the car by the accompanying radiation from the superheterodyne (the generator used in the receivers of most modern radar detectors). At the same time, unlike the less advanced VG-2 (see the relevant paragraph), the Specter devices use a floating operating frequency and cannot be detected in advance. Therefore, protection against such direction finders is based on reducing the level of extraneous radiation from the radar detector — by means of shielding, the use of antennas of a special design, etc.Spectre protection | clear | Save List |
