Toner is a finely dispersed powder that is applied to the drum during printing, from which it gets onto the paper and is fixed by heating with a special oven. When people talk about refilling a laser printer, they usually mean replenishing the toner supply.Another type of consumables used in laser devices is a developer, but you have to deal with it much less often.
