The heat distribution in such dryers is not very uniform, with warm air accumulating in the upper part and causing the upper trays to heat up more than the lower ones. While this can be advantageous for drying products with different temperature requirements, it is challenging to maintain consistent temperatures throughout the device. This becomes a clear disadvantage when drying homogeneous ingredients, as the upper trays need to be periodically rearranged to achieve uniform processing. As a result, there are fewer models with a top-mounted heater available nowadays.
