— slalom involves sliding downhill along a prepared run with maximum speed and sharp turns in a small arc; carving is a technique for making such turns. There are several subspecies of such a ride; specialized snowboards can be produced for them. However, all models of this style have high rigidity, they are rather narrow, with a pronounced side cutout.
