Cross-country skates

— also known as "sprint" skates, skates designed for speed racing. Distinctive features of such skates are a long blade that protrudes noticeably beyond the toe and heel, as well as a small boot height. In addition, some of these models have a “clap-skate” blade: it is fixed only in the front, and the back can move up and down relative to the heel (in the free position, the blade is attracted to the boot by a special spring). The movable blade further contributes to acceleration. Anyway, cross-country skates are used on long, flat tracks, and riding them requires special skills.
