Crocodiles (to battery)

— connect directly to the battery terminals using crocodile clips. Such inverters use special wires that can pass powerful currents without consequences, so their output power can be quite high — in general, it is much higher than that of models powered by a cigarette lighter. However the clamps are not considered as reliable as the contacts of a special cable (see "cable (to battery)"), so they are rarely found in devices with more than 1.5 kW. However, the "crocodiles" have another advantage over the cable — the convenience of connecting and disconnecting.
