Corkscrews

— tools for opening wine bottles. To do this, the design provides for a spiral of thick wire, pointed at one end; this spiral is screwed into the cork, after which the latter is removed from the neck. Corkscrews can have different designs: for example, in the simplest models there is a conventional handle that you need to pull “on your own”, more advanced devices are equipped with an emphasis and paired levers that make the task easier. There are also "multipurpose" corkscrews, complete with bottle openers, can openers, and other contraptions; almost all such tools are also included in this category, the main criterion for them is the presence of the corkscrew itself. The exception is corkscrews combined with corks for wine, they are classified as corks in our catalog (see the corresponding item).
