Tube amplifiers

It is characterized by a high level of non-linear distortion — orders of magnitude higher than that of transistor models — however, the nature of these distortions is such that they are much more pleasant to the human ear than in the same transistor circuits. Many connoisseurs consider this moment not a disadvantage, but a specific feature that gives the sound "warmth". However, in addition to this, lamp circuits are also characterized by a number of other disadvantages: they are expensive, rather bulky, sensitive to shocks and shocks, and the lamps are rather short-lived and do not start working immediately when turned on — the device needs to “warm up”. As a result, today such amplifiers are produced mainly for fans of the “warm tube sound” and are quite rare.
