— most often, games of this type are an expanded and improved version of the well-known "sea battle" on paper. Each player gets two fields: on one he places his ships and marks the opponent's shots, on the other he notes his misses and hits on enemy ships. In the classic "sea battle" fields of 10x10 and 10 ships of different sizes are used, however, in the game sets there are other versions of the rules that differ in the number of ships and the size of the field. The fields are often designed in the different style — for example, as the control panel of ship batteries or a tactical display of a submarine. In addition, the general design of the kits can also be different: for example, there are kits where “firing” fields (to mark your shots) are placed on a partition that separates the players. The gameplay itself in most cases is not very different from the "sea battle" on paper — the shots are marked manually, and the coordinates and results of the shot are announced by the players themselves. However, electronic kits for sea battle are also produced, where during his turn the player sets the coordinates of the shot, presses "Start" — and the system announces the results with a sound signal, and sometimes also notes the result in memory. Anyway, this version of the game develops intuition and logical thinking. And the kits can be produced both in the usual desktop and in the compact "road" version.

The second version of the "Sea Battle" — firing "torpedoe"-balls at enemy ships. Each of 2 players receives a "torpedo tube" from which balls roll out, and 4 ships fixed in slots on the edge of the playing field. With an accurate hit, the ball touches the ledge in the lower part of the ship and "drowns" it, pushing it off the field. Such a game, in turn, contributes to the development of accuracy and distance judging.
