Leadcore

— initially, a leadcore is an additional device used mainly in carp fishing; however, in this case, we are not talking about ready-made leadcores, but about a cord for making them. Such a cord is a thin lead wire in a fabric braid. Leadcore of such wire requires about 50 – 100 cm (however, the specific length largely depends on the preference of the angler). The leadcore is attached at the bottom of the carp rig, closest to the hook. It performs three main functions: it prevents twisting, sinks the tackle at the bottom, and also reduces the risk of injuring the fish on the line, which is important in sport fishing.
