— a wireless (usually Bluetooth) remote control that comes with a selfie stick. It is often more convenient to use a separate remote control than a button on the tripod itself: with one hand you can control the shooting, and with the other you can hold the handle as tightly as possible without making unnecessary movements. However, in some models it is possible to fix the remote control on the handle, and sometimes it is even duplicated by a button on a tripod. Another advantage of the remote is that it can provide advanced features and even be equipped with a display; for some selfie sticks, different models of remotes are even produced, with different functionality.
