Non-retractable selfie tripods
— tripods with a fixed design have one section and constant dimensions — the maximum and minimum working lengths are the same or almost the same in them (in some models, the length can be increased by several centimeters due to the tripod).
This design is found only in relatively small models, with a maximum length of up to 300 mm (and more often up to 250 mm). This is the maximum size at which the tripod remains relatively easy to store and transport — longer rods are too bulky and need to be folded. Note that all non-sliding models are designed primarily for action cameras (and many — only for them) and are used not so much for taking selfies, but for general convenience when holding the camera in your hands.
