Wireless motion sensors
— wireless connection — usually over the air, using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or specialized standards (see "Communication Protocol"). The main advantage of this option is obvious: the absence of wires greatly simplifies the installation of sensors, especially in hard-to-reach places. At the same time, the range of such a connection can reach tens and even hundreds of metres.
Theoretically, the radio link is more susceptible to interference than the wire; however, in fact, it is not easy to jam such communications, and quite advanced encryption systems are usually provided to protect against signal interception. But the unequivocal disadvantages of wireless models are a higher cost than wired ones, and the need to organize their own power supply (in the form of batteries / batteries or a separate connection to the network).
