— the main advantage of glass is transparency, thanks to which the owner can see the contents without opening the container. This is especially convenient when brewing: you can determine the readiness of the drink by the colour of the contents visible through the glass. On the other hand, this material is quite fragile, sensitive to heat and does not tolerate temperature extremes. These moments are especially critical for French presses, which have rather thin walls — you need to carefully pour hot water into such dishes. But in teapots, special heat-resistant varieties of glass can be used, which can easily tolerate even heating on gas.
