Square

— square files are mainly designed for processing square or rectangular grooves and holes. And in case of emergency, such a file can be used instead of a flat file — this is less convenient, but technically quite acceptable.

A separate type of square files are the so-called. bars — tools of great length with a large notch, designed to remove a thick layer of material during rough peeling.
