— in direct drive compressors, the motor and operating mechanism are on the same common shaft. The high speed of rotation of the mechanism, due to this design, is more of a disadvantage than an advantage, because. it leads to strong noise and negatively affects the resource. In addition, the cooling efficiency in such models is worse, they usually have a rather low performance and are not designed for long-term continuous operation; and repair is more difficult than with a belt drive. On the other hand, this option is suitable for any location of the receiver (including vertical) and is cheaper.
