Such circuits allow to power even the most powerful and high-consumption equipment, but they are not as common as 230 V, and are found mainly in workshops, large garages and other similar places. Therefore, this type of power supply is used exclusively in the largest and heaviest devices, for which 230 V mains can no longer provide sufficient power. However, it is worth noting that some 400-volt devices also provide the ability to work from 230 V – in case a three-phase one is not available. However a standard socket for such a device will not work – most likely, it will require a special connection.
