Dimmable light bulbs

 

— ability to change the brightness of the lamp. Most often, this means compatibility with dimmers — dimmers installed in lamps, wall switches, etc. Dimmers work on the principle of voltage regulation; incandescent lamps are easily combined with such equipment, but other types are far from always compatible with such an adjustment — the corresponding possibility should be directly stated in the characteristics. Another option for lamps with this function is RGB-LED models (see "Type"), which are often equipped with built-in controls and do not need external equipment at all to change the brightness (except perhaps remote controls).
